Helen Burge
Member of the GEC Circle of Influence
Bio:
Helen has more than 25 years experience working in operations and strategic management. A Fellow and Trustee of the Institute of School Business Leadership (ISBL), she holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership.
Helen is also a passionate advocate for sustainability in education. She co-founded the UK Schools Sustainability Network (UKSSN) Operations Group, where she leads initiatives focused on driving impactful, long-term change across the sector. Climate change is truly a wicked problem and is intertwined with existing social inequalities and disproportionately impacts those who are at least responsible for causing it. She shares awareness and encourages schools to take action to reduce their negative impact on the environment.
“I believe in the power of collaboration to transform education worldwide. Joining the GEC's Circle of Influence allows me to contribute to meaningful positive change.”
